2017 ELECTION RESULTS FOR EAFP COUNCIL

ELECTION RESULTS FOR EAFP COUNCIL POSITIONS FOR 2017-2021:

• EAFP PRESIDENT
• EAFP MEETING SECRETARY
• EAFP TREASURER

Following the call published in the EAFP Bulletin, Issue 37(1) and on the EAFP website, the nominations for EAFP Council posts were:

• EAFP President: Sven Bergmann (Germany) and Jose Garcia (Spain)
• EAFP Meeting Secretary: Ivona Mladineo (Croatia)
• EAFP Treasurer: Klaus Knopf (Germany)

Ivona Mladineo and Klaus Knopf were elected, unopposed, and will continue to serve on their positions in the EAFP Council for the second period of four years (2017-2021).

As there were two candidates for the positions of EAFP President, voting via the EAFP web page was arranged from 2nd May to 16th June 2017 with procedural details described in the EAFP Bulletin, Issue 37(2), on the EAFP website as well as in the EAFP Newsletter.
The first poll has been finished without the EAFP president elected. Each candidate received an equal number of votes (64).

The second poll was opened from Monday, 19th June until Monday, 26th June and has closed now.

Jose Garcia is re-elected as EAFP President, for the period 2017-2021.

The re-elected EAFP Council Members will begin their second term roles, after the 18th EAFP Conference in Belfast.
