1st UK-IRL – Keele 2014
The first meeting of the UK and Ireland EAFP branches
The aim of this and future meetings was to provide an environment for the exchange of ideas on important health issues that are affecting fisheries, aquaculture and the ornamental trade in Western Europe and, in particular, the UK and Ireland. Participants included research scientists, including postgraduate and post doctoral workers, industrial representatives and a range of end users. This meeting offered the opportunity to focus on a consolidated action to devise strategies to improve fish health and welfare within the sector.
Thanks to money awarded by the Journal Fish and Shellfish Immunology several awards were given, 3 for the best new investigator talks and 3 for the best posters !!!
