28-29^th October 2026 in Galway

We are delighted to announce that the 6^th EAFP UK & Ireland branch meeting will be held in the beautiful city of Galway on the 28-29 October 2026, kindly hosted by Atlantic Technological University (ATU). 

The meeting will provide an excellent opportunity for academic and industry professionals to come together, network, and enhance their understanding of fish and shellfish health through the exchange of the latest research and expertise.

The scientific programme will run throughout 28 October and the morning of 29 October 2026, featuring specialised sessions focused on recent advances in aquatic animal health. Renowned keynote speakers will deliver lectures on key topics, and a dedicated session will showcase the work of Early Career Researchers.

We welcome abstract submissions for both Oral and Poster Presentations. Abstract submission will be open from the 1 August until the 15 September 2026. Full guidelines for abstract submission can be found here.

In addition, a workshop on “The Genomics of Fish Pathogens” will be held at the Atlantic Technological University on the 27^th October 2026, for Early Career Researchers. For further information and to register your interest, please click here.
