This Special Issue will focus on aquaculture within the One Health framework, gathering scientific insights, case studies, and policy perspectives to advance awareness of the health connections between aquaculture, human health, and ecosystem sustainability.

• • Antimicrobial use and resistance (AMU/AMR): Drivers, monitoring, and management strategies in aquaculture.
  • Food security, food safety & public health: Risks and mitigation along aquaculture value chains.
  • Ecosystem health and climate change: Impacts of aquaculture practices on biodiversity, water quality, and climate resilience under climate changes.
  • Epidemiology, biosecurity, & risk assessment: Transmission pathways across aquatic animals, humans, and the environment, integrated approaches to prevention and control.
  • Policy, governance, and capacity building: Strengthening One Health systems for sustainable aquaculture that examine innovative policies and governance mechanisms in aquaculture.
  • Health economics:  in a biosocial (“syndemic”) view of diseases
