Second announcement – 18th joint meeting of German speaking EAFP branches

The German, Swiss and Austrian branches of the EAFP have decided that due to the actual COVID-19 situation the 18th Joint Meeting of the German, Austrian and Swiss EAFP Branches, which was scheduled for October 2020, will be postponed to the first week of October 2022. However, a one-day online conference will be planned for the first week of October 2021. It is planned to have impulse lectures and short presentations on three or four current topics. More information will follow.

Dear EAFP members and other interested parties,
We are very pleased to inform you herewith that the 18th Joint Conference of the German, Austrian and Swiss Branches of the European Association of Fish Pathologists (EAFP), under the motto “Research and Service for healthy fish”,. will take place from 7 to 9 October 2020 in Hanover, Germany. The conference will take place in the Hävermeier&Sander Hall of the Ecological Trade and Conference Centre Werkhof Hannover-Nordstadt not far from the Leibniz University of Hanover. In the Hotel Schlafgut, which is also located on the Werkhof site, we will have an on-call quota of 30 single rooms. Other accommodation options are nearby. On 6 October 2020, in the early evening, the possibility of registration will be given. An excursion is planned for 10 October 2020.

Young scientists are encouraged to apply for participation in the Wilhelm Schäperclaus Award Competition. The prizes for the best oral lecture and the best poster will be awarded for the 7th time at the 18th Joint Meeting in Hanover.

The conference language will be principally German.
