We are delighted to announce that the 6th EAFP UK & Ireland Branch Meeting will be hosted by Atlantic Technological University in the beautiful city of Galway, Ireland, on 28–29 October 2026.

Returning to Ireland once again, the meeting will provide a unique opportunity for academics, researchers, and industry professionals to come together to discuss current challenges and advances in fish and shellfish health, while promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange across the sector.

The scientific programme will run throughout 28 October and the morning of 29 October 2026, featuring dedicated sessions focused on the latest research and developments in aquatic animal health. Invited keynote speakers will deliver presentations on topics of major importance to the field, and a dedicated session will showcase the work of Early Career Researchers (ECRs), providing them with an opportunity to present their research and engage with the wider community.

Abstract submissions are invited for both oral and poster presentations. The submission period will be open from 1 August until 15 September 2026.

On 27 October 2026, the “Genomics of Fish Pathogens” Workshop for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) will take place at Atlantic Technological University. The workshop will provide an introduction to genomic data analysis and bioinformatics, offering participants practical experience with command-line tools and bacterial pathogen datasets.

The registration will open by the end of July 2026.
